ग़म के समंदर में

ग़म के समंदर में हर शख़्स खोया हुआ है,
फिर भी होंठों पर हँसी का दिया रोया हुआ है।

आँखों में ठहरे हैं सैलाब कई बरसों के,
दिल ने मगर फर्ज़ निभाए हैं रिश्तों के।

टूटे ख़्वाबों की किरचें सीने में दबाए,
वो अपनों के लिए हर दर्द मुस्कान में छुपाए।

ख़ुद की तन्हाई से रोज़ जंग करता है इंसान,
फिर भी मेहफ़िल में बन जाता है हौसलों की पहचान।

यह दुनिया पूछती नहीं हाल-ए-दिल की सदा,
यहाँ हर शख़्स निभाता है किरदार, चाहे टूटे या बिखरा।

ग़म के समंदर में डूब कर भी जो तैर जाता है,
वही रिश्तों की ख़ातिर हर रोज़ खुद को हार जाता है।

In the Ocean of Sorrow

In the ocean of sorrow, every person is lost,
Yet, on their lips, the lamp of laughter flickers, tearfully.

In their eyes, floods of many years' pain are held back,
But the heart has fulfilled its duties to relationships.

Clutching the shards of broken dreams in their chest,
They hide every pain for their loved ones behind a smile.

Every day, humanity wages war against its own loneliness,
Yet, in gatherings, it becomes the embodiment of resilience.

This world doesn't ask about the heart's true state,
Here, everyone plays their role, whether broken or shattered.

The one who swims even after drowning in the ocean of sorrow,
Is the one who, for the sake of relationships, loses themselves every day.
